A Paradigm Shift Though the term
paradigm shift may be overused or cliche, that is exactly what is taking
place powerfully now in health care. Scientists have confirmed that we
really are made up of vibrating interconnected energy fields. When one
accepts this model of what we are, many previously misunderstood
phenomena begin to make perfect sense. Disease occurs when there is a
disturbance in the energy movement in the field or system. All
treatments are effective to the degree that they can stimulate movement
and balancing of the energy fields. Alternative and complementary therapies have been so successful that
today people make more visits to these types of providers than they do
to their primary care physicians. Most of these are based on
facilitating movement of the energy field on some level. Even many
conventional medical treatments can be understood in terms of energy and
fields as well as through biochemistry and mechanics. The ramifications of acceptance of this paradigm reach out to every
level of existence. No longer are we talking just about the body or just
about health care. Because all fields are interconnected to some extent,
we can no longer completely separate fields of knowledge. Heath care is
intimately related to physics, psychology, spirituality, astronomy,
consciousness, biochemistry and even history.
